Choppy playback even on low settings. HELP!

I have this weird issue with PS3MS.

It was working great this morning, but now it just plays back all choppy.

I have a linksys wireless g router with range booster WRT54GS
I have a 40GB glossy ps3
I have an iMac 2GHz processor, 2GB ram, Intel Core Duo running Mac OS X 10.4.11 Tiger

Audio is set to 192kbps

I was originally running on Lossless video quality, but went down to Best, then to good, then to good HD, then to medium. Finally I went to lowest quality.

I researched the max Mbps on my router and it says its stock 54Mbps, so I set the max to 54Mbps.

It is still choppy. More like it will play good for a few min then It will lag like hell with no sound.

Any ideas?

Good luck getting wifi-G upto 54mbps, as the standard real throughput is usually down in the 15mbps range.

I tired running all my videos on Medium with a max of 15 Mbps and all my AVI, WMV, & MKV files play great! Quality is very bearable... no too pixelated.

Although is it just that the transcoder doesn't like mov & mp4 files, because even on these low settings mov & mp4 are super choppy.
