Last few seconds of remuxes just hang

Postby stephenwilley » Tue Sep 29, 2009 9:07 am

Hi. First, thank you for PMS. It's made everything about playing back HD so much easier.
I mentioned this issue in the beta thread but here it is again:

The last few seconds of any remuxed file just pauses indefinitely. It's a really small thing, but since a lot of TV stuff is cut right at the last second, it's very frustrating. It's been exacerbated by the fact that I have no choice but to turn on AC3 remux since if I don't, all the speaker signals seem to have rotated one speaker clockwise at the moment. Also, I'd obviously prefer remuxing over re-encoding if possible.

Is it a known bug or can I do anything to provide additional debug info? (I'm on 32 bit Snow Leopard if that's relevant)

Thanks again.

no, it's a known bug... I noticed latest beta versions are better, but can't guarantee anything.. what version are you using ?

Not sure how useful it is, but here's the output from the log when it happens:

It'll just keep looping that series of lines over and over.

The Resume Read and Suspend Reads don't seem to happen during normal playback, just at the end.

I have remux when audio track is AC3 turned on.

You said it's a known bug. In PMS, one of the utilities it uses, or not sure yet?

Just for completeness (already posted in the Beta thread) this is still happening on r367. Not complaining, just noting. Should I file this on the Google Code page as an issue?
