Getting PMS to work?

Postby Vinterbird » Sun Feb 01, 2009 5:38 pm

I've been trying for the last few days to get Media Server working on my Mac and PS3. When I open up the program it sees my PS3 and I've added the media libary I want to share. But from there nothing happens. The PS3 doesn't see the server, and when I search with the PS3 I can't find anything.

Running a Macbook with a D-Link router with UnPP enabled.

Is there a quick and easy guide on how to set things up, or am I just doing something terribly wrong?

you need to add an ip address of your ps3 if i am correct - also maybe need to port forward on router port 5001 - and do check firewall and little snitch

For me it was more putting the IP address of the server (i.e. the macbook), rather than the IP address of the PS3, which helped.
