Latest beta build and OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

Postby Marius_Simon » Tue Sep 01, 2009 1:43 pm

Hi,

PS3MS won't see PS3 after the program has been ended and started again. I tried to reboot the PS3 and restart the program and tried to search for media server several times without success. Before restarting the program and the PS3 worked with the latest beta build in OS X 10.5.8 Leopard. Now it seems that OS X needs to be restarted aswell. Is there any change that "restart the HTTP-server" could be always available?

It seems, after all, that OS X firewall is the reason why PS3 and PS3MS doesn't see each other. I have configured my OS X firewall allow certain programs to access the internet. Althougt PS3MS is allowed, it seems that there is some issue with the firewall in itself.

I'll report my findings if I manage to get it to work with the firewall...

Problem solved :D

To get PS3MS to work with OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard firewall you'll need to configure the program to open in 32bit enviroment and with Rosetta.

Weird. I enabled 32-bit and Rosetta, searched for servers, and got nothing. I removed and re-added PMS in the list of allowed applications, searched for servers, and got nothing. I turned off the firewall completely, searched for servers, and got nothing.

So I turned the firewall back on, came back here to post about my issues, and PMS magically appeared in the XMB on its own. :?

Oh well. At least it's working now. :)
