OSX and PS3 not found

Hey guys I am new here just downloaded PS3 Media Server. I have read just about all the threads and searched the internet and am still having trouble getting the server to recognize the PS3.

My setup is wrt54g router. My macbook is set to 192.168.1.101 (which port forwarding is set to 5001) PS3 set to 192.168.1.102.

On the PS3MS I have forced the IP to en1 (since my Macbook is using wireless as well) and to the corresponding IP.

I have enabled port forwarding for 5001. My Mac firewall is set to accept PS3MS. PS3 is using wireless connection. PS3 connects to internet fine.

On the PS3 it says UPnP - N/A is this an issue? Also I am not able to ping from my Mac to PS3 would this be an issue as well?

If you have any suggestions that might help that would be great. I know this issue has been discussed a lot but I believe I have tried most of the suggested. Thank in advance for any help.

possibly a router issue? have you checked if other media servers are working ?

I have not tried them yet. What's the next best one to try?

The output almost matches mine, I'll follow this thread and hope for a solution.
