Minimum requirements for Mac??

Hello,

I am going to buy an iMac. I am thinking in the 20" version, which has 2,66ghz processor speed with 2gb RAM. The video card is a nvidia 256mb.

Do you think that this machine is right to stream 1080p movies? (having a gigabit wifi connection), or do you think that I need more ram memory?

I have no clue what you mean by that as there is no commercially available wireless gigabit connection...
As for the rest of your specs, you should be fine if you're using a wired gigabit connection and specify a reasonable transcode buffer. That, of course, is assuming that by 2.66 GHz processor you mean it's also a Core2Duo...

6 mb cache level 2 (shared with main memory)

These specs are the new iMac 20"

So, I think I have the requirements accomplished, right?

Otherwise I could buy the 24" new iMac, with 4GB DDR3, but I think the 20" is enough. What do u think?? (the 24" iMac is 300€ more expensive so I would like to buy the 20" model)

A core 2 duo CPU (mine is a E6750, 2.66GHz) for smooth 1080p transcoding, but 720p seems to be transcodable with a good P4 :p
