Force 24p-Playback ???

Hi guys !

i´m pretty sure it´s not that easy ( or even possible ) , but here´s my question :

i have a lot of hd-stuff (1080p, 24 frames/sec.) on my harddrive.PS3 only supports 24p-Playback when
playing back a (physical) Bluray; so my HD-movies from HDD are sadly forced to playback in a wrong framerate ( i think it´s 50 or 60Hz) which brings
up some weird , but little , hickups from time to time.
It´s not that big point , but , especially in horizontal camera-movements , it´s a bit disturbing.

Is there a way for PMS to improve that or can only a firmware-improvement for the PS3 help in that case ??

Take a look at the MEncoder custom parameters. The ideas mentioned in the following thread should give you a good starting point, even though these are defined for iso/imgs: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=545&p=9215
