Hey! Thanks for testing it!
Are you sure it's mencoder crashing? What's the error message?
Could you please send me the debug.log?

Azureus now works as a media server. just download it, and check the boxes in the media server plugin preferences. works instantly, and is free and works on PPC

Hey Bortek!
Thanks for the feedback!
I looked into the log you attached and it seems that PMS has some weird problems with your iTunes and iPhoto libraries on bootup.
(Don't have the time right now to check the java sources to see what's wrong, but maybe Redlum can help in the meantime: PMS seems to look for a folder but finds an xml file instead, complaining
Code: Select all
Something wrong with the iTunes Library scan: : /Users/franck/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music Library.xml (Not a directory)
)
Also, you got a failure when PMS is trying to load tsMuxer:
Code: Select all
Fatal error in process starting: : osx/tsMuxeR: not found

As I stated above tsMuxer is NOT available for ppc atm, so be sure to uncheck the flag on "Switch to tsMuxer when H264 blah blah" on the Mencoder video file engine configuration in the Transcoding settings.
Also try to play with the other settings available and see if it helps, in particular change "Video quality settings" in the Commons transcode settings and try to use ASS/SSA subs as there seems to be a problem with the freetype library...

Thazk you for your reply. you ar my hero. In fact, my itunes library is on an external drive and what PMS can see is an alias in my Home folder. I will delete this alias and make another try. I'll check th eoption for TSMuxer toot and will give you a feedback. Thanls again

I dont't know how I did it last time but I had v1.04 PMS on my Powermac G5 for quite some time now (1year+?) and it worked perfectly with my ps3.
I recently formatted my G5 and downloaded the lastest version and now it can't detect my ps3 anymore. Using the previous versions yielded the same result.
What changed?

PSM works great on G5 but it doesn't Transcode

Any idea why it won't work anymore? I've tried forcing IP address, forwarding port 5001, wireless, wired connection. It works without any hassle with my macbook though.
