Cannot play FLACs on v1.81

Postby ykDfbJfAbk » Mon Apr 29, 2013 11:51 pm

My details:

Snow Leopard 10.6.8
java 1.6.0_45-b06-451
PS3MS v1.81.0
PS3 running v4.41 system software and using an ethernet connection

I used to be able to play regular 2-ch FLACs but have noticed that i am now unable to. I get 'Unsupported Data' listed for each track.

the following trace appears in a loop and evey subsequent time i try to play a FLAC:

I also tried playing through the video menu. thumbnails appear, VLC apparently becomes the default engine and the file appears to be served, but i again get a 'data type is not supported' message. Have also tried a complete trashing and of the app and preferences and reinstall, but no luck. can't roll back to the older version as i upgraded the java. let me know if there is any other pertinent info i have omitted.

thanks.

Re: Cannot play FLACs on v1.81

Looks like a problem with the database that holds the cache information.
What happens if you disable the cache on the "Navigation/Share Settings" tab?

Thanks very much for replying. I tried what you suggeseted and disabled the cache. I an still getting 'Unsupported Data" with FLACs, though as before, other formats and media are fine.

Traces in PS3MS shows no error messages but the the following info was pasted from my debug log (edited the folder and username).
