Fusion Drive too fast for PMS?

Postby Transient » Wed Feb 06, 2013 10:48 pm

I have a new iMac with a Fusion Drive. I have a strange problem which I believe is related to the iMac actually booting up too quickly.

All my media is stored on an attached USB 3.0 HDD. The system fully boots with PMS running before it has finished mounting the USB drive. As a result, PMS doesn't see the media without restarting it. I have 2 other USB HDDs (one USB 2.0, one USB 3.0) and all exhibit the same problem.

Has anyone else experienced something similar to this? Is there a way to get PMS to see the drives when they appear? Maybe some way to delay the start up of PMS until after the USB HDD is mounted?

Unfortunately no, the drives need to be available when PMS starts (I occasionally have this with network drives). You may be able to add a delay somewhere, but I do not use a Mac so I can't help you there.
I provide NO application support via PM or email, so please post your question to the forum.
