.mkv no longer working on v.1.53/1.54

1- Apple iMac 27" 3.2ghz i3, 16GB Ram, PS3MS v.1.54
2- PS3
3- Apple Airport Extreme -> Apple Airport Express -> PS3 (via ethernet)
4- TSmuxer
5- I recently updated to the latest version of PS3MS having been using it to stream my .mkv library of movies for quite while without a hitch. I recently updated to v.1.53 and today to v.1.54. Since the upgrade I can no longer stream any of my old library of .mkv movie files. I receive the the onscreen error of "data corrupt". No other movie files are affected. If I unplug the TSmuxer option and use MEncoder they work, but not to the same quality as they used to. I'd like to return to using TSmusxer if possible.
6- From the debug file of the file I am trying to play it says "the video will not play or show a black screen on the ps3"
7- I haven't added the details of the .MKVs because they are all different and not a single one of them will play anymore when they used to.

Can anybody help? I have searched all of the suggested links people have posted on issues with .mkv files and the like, but none of them either seem relevant or solve the problem. Whats most frustrating is everything was previously working fine until I updated from a version I had previously been using (est. around summer 2011).

1.54.0 was shipped with MPlayer-SB32 binaries.

You could try switching back to the binaries of 1.53.0 that worked for you.

The older revisions can be found by clicking on the "Modify" links; after clicking you will see an overview page where you can select older revisions. You can save any revision by saving the link "View raw file".
After saving the files, you will have to make them executable and copy them to the PMS directory.
This can be done by opening a Terminal and executing these commands:

cp mencoder /Applications/PS3\ Media\ Server.app/Contents/Resources/Java/osx/mencoder
chmod +x mplayer
cp mplayer /Applications/PS3\ Media\ Server.app/Contents/Resources/Java/osx/mplayer

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem since V 1.53 (thats before the change!)

It says corrupted on every .mkv file. In the log file it says TSMuxer has returned code 254.

Before that I used 1.52 and everything was fine. However when playing mkv files it didn't play the last 5 secs on every mkv. It just stopped. Other than that it was fine.

Please help, if possible.

Is PMS configured to pick tsMuxeR before mencoder?
If so, try swapping the order of the two.

I tried all of that stuff before, didn't change anything though.

Thats exactly the error code I am seeing too.

I've switched back to v.1.5 for now but that didn't cure it either, I have given up and have unplugged tsmuxer and am using Mencoder which isn't as good

Try deleting PMS.conf and letting PMS create it again. (from ~/Library/Application Support/PMS/PMS.conf)
