Data type not supported

Hi:

I am new to ps 3media server and recently downloaded version 1.50. Seemed to install ok and detect my external hardrive through itunes. However I am not able to play any music ( all apple lossless) as I get the data type not supported error. I also find that mplayer is shutdown on my imac with the error "the application mplayer quit unexpectedly". I am running Mac OSX 10.5.8.

Would appreciate any pointers.
