Airport Extreme Base Station and PS3 media server

I feel rather stupid asking for help, but I'm afraid I'm not very good at figuring out how to open ports and so on and was hoping someone would help me out.

Configuration:
PS3 connected (wired) to AEBS
PS3 Media Server running on Windows 7 machine, also connected to (wired) to AEBS.

I can't, for the life of me, get PS3MS to detect my PS3. I tried to open port 5001 on the AEBS, but I may have done it incorrectly, and it's not working. Tried forcing the IP as well (to the best of my ability) and either couldn't figure it out or it wouldn't work. The PS3 can see the computer and the AEBS, but won't connect to them, telling me that perhaps the PS3 isn't registered in the media server. I've "allowed" all the services I can think of on the Windows machine.

Has anyone with a similar setup gotten PS3 media server to work? If so, I'd really appreciate some step-by-step help!
