Sharing a DVD. Possible?

Is it possible to share a DVD movie disc that is in my computer, so it can be played on the PS3 using Media Server?

If not, is this concept possible at all with other software?

The reason I ask this is that my PS3 only plays NTSC DVD's, while I have many PAL DVD's in my collection.
My computer will play both NTSC & PAL (region2), but I need a solution to watch them on the TV.

A media sharing solution would save me having to buy additional hardware.
I do not wish to rip the dvd's (too much time & effort)

Well, I found the answer & it is YES.

Using PS3 Media Server you can add your /Volumes folder to the shared folders.
Now any DVD will show up.
Even though my PS3 wont play PAL DVDs directly, it will play them via PS3 Media Server.
