No Folders, Cannot Connect

Postby thefatguyjj » Fri Mar 06, 2009 9:31 am

After failed DLNA server connections (Error 7531), the media server connects, but the folder on the PS3 is the network icon, not the PS3MS icon.
I cannot connect to play content. Nothing changed between last night and tonight, and now I can't play a thing.

Also, PS3MS wants to connect with my computer first. It always seeks that IP. Is that the problem? When I enter filter IP, or connect to IP (I have the PS on a dedicated DHCP IP, DMZ, ports open on firewall, etc) it comes up error.

PS this sucks :x

I get exactly the same situation, error 7531, network icon, no files etc.

This is after a fresh, initial install. PS3 Media Server just won't work for me, although all others seem to work fine--Windows Medial Player server, Twonky etc.

Just chiming in, in the hopes that someone knows a solution.

I neglected to mention above that if I install PS3 Media Server on a wireless notebook on the same network, it works just fine. But I need it to work on my desktop, wired into the network.
