Hi chocolate boy, I did try use the build advised, but i got some issues.
1- the sound is not synchronise, it is too fast on some channel.
2- the video from wimp work now, but the one of bbc dont and the one of icefilms work only one time most of the time i have "broken data".
so what should i do ? i do admit this build solve half of my problem :D

Has anyone gotten NASA TV to stream?

I've tried a few URL's which work in VLC / WMP

http://www.nasa.gov/55644main_NASATV_Windows.asx
http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?id=1368163

I've also tried their mms:// streams which I got from URL Snooper...

Anyone else got a URL that is known to work?

I get these type of errors -

mencoder.exe has a return code of 1!

Thanks in advance...
Rob

Channels -> Navi-X -> Top -> NASA -> NASA TV

The MMS streams work. The HTTP Live stream needs work.

Note: I'm using the following navix.ch (attached). The path will be different if you're using the built-in.

Code: Select all
version = 0.20

channel Navi-X {
    img = http://website.navi-x.org/networks/boxee/navix_icon.png

    folder {
        name = Top
        url = http://www.navi-x.org/playlists/med_port.plx
        prop = continue_name=(.*>>>.*|.*Next [Pp]age.*),continue_limit=6,auto_asx
        type = navix
        subtitle = s4u
    }

    folder {
        name = All
        url = http://navix.turner3d.net/playlist/all.plx
        type = navix
        prop = continue_name=(.*>>>.*|.*Next [Pp]age.*),continue_limit=6,auto_asx
        subtitle = s4u
    }
}

choclateboy & infidel,

Thanks for your help. The Al Jazeera link works, but the mms links don't. Can't figure out what the error is for this link:
Colors Channel:
mms://s20.vexcast.com/vexcast-skjdnskjd ... WMExt=.asf

Windows 7 system (with norton antivirus)
Got a "denial of service" message, so i disabled norton and tried, but it failed.

Log files are attached.
Thanks again,
sunsystem.

It seems to be some sort of issue with mencoder in the later releases (SHB as well as it is based on the same as SB). Some ZDF mms streams fails while other works. All works when using MPlayer native. Going via PMSEncoder/Channels gets it piped via mencoder. Try an old mencoder maybe???

Edit. Tried an old build (really old) with recent Channels(1.08) and PMSEncoder(1.5.5) and the ZDF links worked. The mencoder here was 30369.

SubJunk -why does these kind of files fails? (mms://a1014.v1252931.c125293.g.vm.akama ... _len_h.wmv) If i paste the link straight to mplayer it works via PMS its dead. It might of course be PMSencoders fault :)

Moved, as it has nothing to do with the SubJunk build.

It works fine for me with the latest (unreleased) version of PMSEncoder:

Code: Select all
videostream.Web,Test,WMV=WMV,mms://a1014.v1252931.c125293.g.vm.akamaistream.net/7/1014/125293/v0001/wm.od.origin.zdf.de.gl-systemhaus.de/none/zdf/11/05/110506_folge_155_opi5hjk_len_h.wmv

If it doesn't work with 1.55, you'll have to wait.
