Perhaps, it is possible to publish the corresponding links to the scripts from here https://github.com/chocolateboy/pmsencoder/tree/master/misc/scripts?
Could someone please create a windows version for the scripts which contain a path name as variable or isn't that possible?

PMSEncoder 1.3.0 has been released.

This release includes several major scripting enhancements and a few backwards-incompatible changes. Please see the changelog for details, and the script directory for updates and examples.

Hi chocolateboy,

Have tried 1.2.5 and 1.3.0 as follows:

- Running PS3mediaServer 1.2.412 SubJunk Build 8 (running on Windows 7 64-bit)
- pmsencoder jar file in plugins directory
- PMS.conf updated line re engines with pmsencoder at start

When I start PS3MediaServer traces log shows:

[main] TRACE 22:24:17.638 Detected plugin com.chocolatey.pmsencoder.Plugin
[main] TRACE 22:24:17.690 PMSEncoder: initializing PMSEncoder 1.3.0
[main] TRACE 22:24:18.102 PMSEncoder: loading built-in log4j config file: jar:file:/C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/PS3%20Media%20Server/plugins/pmsencoder-1.3.0.jar!/default_log4j.xml
[main] TRACE 22:24:18.179 PMSEncoder: loading built-in script: jar:file:/C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/PS3%20Media%20Server/plugins/pmsencoder-1.3.0.jar!/pmsencoder.groovy
[main] TRACE 22:24:18.904 Registering transcoding engine PMSEncoder

However, on Transcoding Settings tab, PMSEncoder is not listed under Video Web Streaming Engines.
On General Config tab, if I click on PMSEncoder plugin button, it shows a blank options dialog with an ok button.

Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance

Andy

If you want PMSEncoder displayed in the Video Web Streaming Engines UI, vote for (i.e. star) that patch.

OK.

Problem: Download and watch flash videos on Windows (get_flash_videos) with PMSEncoder
Solution::
1. Install the new PMSEencoder plugin from here: http://ps3mediaserver.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6644. Put the pmsencoder.jar file into the "plugins" directory.
Check whether 'pmsencoder' is set in PMS.conf file under 'engines =' row as follows:
Code: Select all
engines = pmsencoder,mencoder,tsmuxer,avsffmpeg,avsmencoder,ffmpegaudio,mplayeraudio,tsmuxeraudio,mencoderwebvideo,mplayervideodump,vlcvideo,mplayerwebaudio,vlcaudio,ffmpegdvrmsremux,rawthumbs
If not, add this entry.
2. Download the script "get_flash_videos.groovy" from here: https://github.com/chocolateboy/pmsencoder/tree/master/misc/scripts
3. Install ActivePerl according to this HowTo: http://code.google.com/p/get-flash-videos/wiki/Installation. Now you have installed the perl interpreter under the directory "C:\Perl\bin\perl.exe"
4. Download the following perl script http://code.google.com/p/get-flash-videos/downloads/detail?name=get_flash_videos-1.24&can=2&q= and save it on your harddisk.
For example under the path "C:\Perl\Scripts".
5. Change the 2 variables in the get_flash_videos.groovy script as follows:
Instead of:
Code: Select all
def GET_FLASH_VIDEOS = '/usr/bin/get_flash_videos'
def PERL = '/usr/bin/perl'

write the following paths:
Code: Select all
def GET_FLASH_VIDEOS = 'C:\\Perl\\Scripts\\get_flash_videos'
def PERL = 'C:\\Perl\\bin\\perl'

5. Now as example enter the following line into your Web.conf file:
Code: Select all
videofeed.Web,Test,Wimp=http://www.wimp.com/rss/

To install and run the get_flash_video script with PMSEncoder from this post from infidel http://ps3mediaserver.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8776&start=540 under Windows,
follow these steps: http://www.ps3mediaserver.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8776&p=41999#p41999 under the post "Problem: Download and watch flash videos on Windows (get_flash_videos) with PMSEncoder"

Forgive me for being a thicko when it comes to java - but unsure what I'm meant to do with the .patch file from the link above? :oops:
