possible to not transcode flac

Postby tomstra3 » Tue Mar 03, 2009 9:09 am

Hi. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to not transcode flac with the ps3 media server? I know the ps3 don`t support flac, but i want to stream the flac files without any transcoding to my receiver that supports dlna.

thanks!

Hello,

You can try to put the flac extension in the "Skip transcode for the following extensions" field from the "Common Transcode Settings" in the "Transcoding Settings" tab to see if it's works.

Ciao!

Yes, i tried that. But it seems that it somehow corrupts the media when i do that. At first i thought i might be a linux codec problem, but it was the same when in windows (vista). Guess i`ll just have to use the mediatomb when streaming flac.
