OpenSolaris Support

Postby snake007uk » Mon Mar 02, 2009 8:46 pm

I have managed to get PS3M working on OpenSolaris, if anyone is interested I will post up the instructions for setting it up :) its really simple and also very simple to make it run as a daemon :)

Please post replies so I know if people are interested or not.

Regards.

I've got it running in Freebsd as a daemon, but I can't get transcoding to work. Did you get either mencoder or tsmuxer to function?

I havent tried it yet, however if you have ffmepg, mencoder, mplayer installed, and MAKE SURE THEY are in your path (or in the path of the user PS3 Streamer run's as).

Otherwise it wont work.

Yes, I have checked that. The problem is that the code is trying to call mktemp and mkfifo incorrectly. See my thread

keen to hear about any problems you had getting this to work on OpenSolaris. I'm about to make the move from Linux to OpenSolaris (mostly for ZFS). Cheers!

I'd be really interested in how you got it going on Opensolaris, please post your notes, I'm sure others will be interested too.

Cheers,
