Problem I have is, if I used the original Mencoder from 20.410, 20.412 or latest Beta ver.
I can play most of my MKV (Dolby, DTS, AAC) but some with FLAC cannot play.

After I patched the Mencoder sets from that thread.
I can't play my MKV with DTS no matter what (I tried every setting suggested, still can't get it worked).
But the rest of mine work.

I also tried the MKVtoolnix (3.4.0), doesn't help me much neither.
By the way, most of source are animations but I disabled all subs.

Did you also patch the ffmpeg and mplayer files as well? Also, this person is using a community build and not the official beta so that may be worth a try as well if you haven't done that.

Also, there is a flac.exe file in the directory of the current beta. There doesn't appear to be a version number. Could this be something of issue? Perhaps this file needs an upgrade too?

Thanks for you advice!

It wasn't related to the FFmpeg, but when I look that thread again (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7894)

I figured last time I updated, I used MPlayer-p4-svn-31878 as supposed to MPlayer-p4-svn-32492.

Probably it was a matching issue.

Now I can play every .mkv file flawlessly!!
DD 5.1 as DD 5.1

Truly appreciated! You fixed my headache!!

I'm having the same issue in regards to Flac 5.1 surround sound and very low/muffled voices.
You said that you fixed your issue.
Can you please explain what you did to resolve this issue.
