Thanks for the information, I'll upgrade PS3MS to latest beta tonight and see what happen.

natjen wrote:I doubt you could contact Sony as the player is not meant to play MKV files anyway so what will they care?

But, some GOOD NEWS!

I upgraded my PS3MS to the latest beta build and everything works fine for me! Even Go To!

Windows 7 Ultimate x64
4 GB DDR3 1333
4 GB Readyboost USB
Q6600 2,4 GHz standard
2TB Library
100mb cabled to PS3
PS3 launch console on 3.5 F/W

Hope this helps someone!

At least I can watch Robin Hood tonight :D

natjen:

When you say last beta build you mean :
Latest builds [2010-02-20] / Current revision: 409
Windows: http://ps3mediaserver.googlecode.com/fi ... 9-BETA.exe

I have this beta build installed some months ago and it worked fine until the 3.50 update.

When I try to reproduce an MKV that needs transcoding with a subtitle when I use the goto function it doesn't work:
There is a: "Not enough memory to allocate 629145600 bytes ... Using half of it" error message

If I try to reproduce a video that was converted with mkv2vob it works fine, even the goto function.

Do you reproduce an MKV with transcoding and subtitles ?

What are you'r settings ?

Thanks and regards
Daniel

Tried the beta build in the last thread with MKV w/ subs.
(This is a movie I was watching prior to 3.50 with success)

Maybe default the settings and try it?

All I had time to do before work was an inplace upgrade from 1.1.50 to the latest build, so I figure it would just have default settings in it for now?
