I have specified 5 minute chapters interval setting in PS3 Media Server. When I go to #transcode folder and select the desired file, in the end I can see the virtual chapters in the folder and can start a movie by clicking one of them. But, I can't use the R1 button while watching the movie since the jump forward is grayed in the options, but I can press L1 so the movie will go back to that chapter. But it will always start the play beginning of that chapter. If I want to go further backward, I have to exit to #transcode folder and select another chapter manually? Or have I understood something wrong?

Forgot to mention that I watch MKV files with PS3 Media Server.

You might have to enable sequential playback - http://manuals.playstation.net/document ... .html#3616
I provide NO application support via PM or email, so please post your question to the forum.

It worked, thank you very much. It takes about 6 seconds to jump to next chapter, but I guess this is better than nothing at this moment. And this is with the 5 minute chapter interval setting, don't know if the transition would be a bit faster with 2 minutes setting...

update: OK, I tested it by applying the 2 minute jump, but it takes the same amount of time. But like I said, atleast it works for the moment.

For the impatient ones, just drop this file in the root pms directory (you may need the official build, I'm not sure about compatibility with other custom builds)

http://ps3mediaserver.org/files/patchs/ ... update.jar

So basically it was an incomplete answer from the server regarding the time ranges, as the ps3 is making some additional checks since fw 3.50 (http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver ... tail?r=412)

Me too! And it works, YEEESSSSSSS! 8-)
And I can confirm that it seems to be compatible with the Magma release (version 1.20.404) Nothing has poked up as a problem so far.

AND, it seems to be working with 1.20.411

Both release I have installed seem to have a fully functioning "go to" option, both with MEncoder (subs enabled/disabled) and with tsMuxer. I will do some more experimenting but things are looking good so far.

I think a great thank you is in order......CHEERS SHAGRATH! :)

Hey.....wait a minute.....does this mean I am one of the impatient ones.....LOL
