Hey guys,
Hoping someone could help me with this problem.
I've decided to make thumbnails for all my videos on PMS. Until now PMS has been auto-generating the thumbs from the 1st second of the video. Btw, I'm using a Sony Bravia KL46W5100 with PMS.
So anyway, I saved a few jpgs like this: filename.extension.cover.jpg . PMS detects the thumbnails fine and displays them, but the quality is beyond sh*t. I've been grabbing images from themoviedb.org and scaling them down to about 320x180px and they look awful on my tv. I also tried scaling them a bit bigger (1024x576) and even smaller (180x101).They all result in an awful pixelly mess. The thing is the auto-generated jpgs look great compared to the ones I've been saving.
What I think is maybe the proportional dimensions are off, so it may be scaling the image non-proportionally and causing the pixelly crap.
Does anyone know the thumbnail dimensions that PMS uses to auto-generate thumbs for Sony Bravia tvs? or any DLNA supported device for that matter?
