Stuttering when streaming DVD-ISO images

Streaming DVD-ISO images to PS3 is rather impossible due to extensive Stuttering. No problem with mkv files. I use mencoder and the system consists of a dual core 2.60 cpu, 3gb ram and wired network connection using 200Mbps homeplugs.
