No video files are showing just transcode dir

Everything was working fine, now when I tried playing a video file all I get is an empty dir and a #TRANSCODE# dir.

Any ideas? Im using a cable and sharing from my XP desktop, also mp3s stream fine but no movie files even show up. I am using default options on XP which seems to use mencoder, the box has 4gb of ram and quad core cpu.

I have not done any updates etc.
