PMS can't see PS3.

I've tried all suggestions.
Enabled UPnP in the Windows Components (rebooted)
Port Forwarded 5001.
Checked Firewall

Anyone have any ideas for me?

1- your computer specs (cpu, memory)
Windows XP SP3 Home. 1GB Ram. P4 2.8GHZ

2- the network connection you are using for streaming your files (wifi, homeplugs, ethernet 100Mbits, or gigabit)
I'm wired in at the moment, would like to go wifi, but just can't get this to work, routed via a Netgear WPN824 router.

3- detailed infos on what's not working
If I force the IP of the PS3, and port forward 5001 in my router I get:
FATAL ERROR: Unable to bind on port 5001. Cannot assign requested address: bind
Maybe another process is running or hostname is wrong....

Thanks in advance.... what should I look at/for?

I get that error if I have another UPnP server, check and shut down any other app.

you must have an access rights problem somewhere... check your antivirus, or try to launch the application in admin mode

It was my AV.
I'd allowed the PS3 Media Server, but after your advice, I also allowed every Java entry, and what do you know. It works.
