finding internet tv addresses

I don't know where to look for internet tv addresses. The one website I found (channelsurfing.net) has a bunch of listings but when i put the address in the web.conf file it says the data is corrupted which i think means it can't find the stream. I open the link and then go to view source to find the actual feed. If anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it.

Many webpages that uses WMP as web-player gives you only link to a playlist (asx files). And you have to download that playlist and look inside it to find the real stream-address.

This may seem like a dumb question but how do you download it? I am opening the source code and looking at where it loads the player and I find what i think is the source address. Should i put that address into the browser to download it?
