connecting ps3 with crossover

Yes there is, I've done it. But sorry I don't remember the exact steps, there's some manual TCP/IP configuration needed both in the PC and PS3 since there's no DHCP. Fiddle with those and it might start working.

You must most likely set static IP-adresses on both PC and PS3.

PC:
IP-address : 10.0.0.2
netmask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 10.0.0.1
dns: 10.0.0.1

PS3:
IP-adress: 10.0.0.3
netmask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 10.0.0.1
dns: 10.0.0.1
