Supporting BeyondTV files

I'm new to this, so pardon my ignorance. I've been using TVersity for awhile now and decided to try PS3MS today. So far so good! I was able to play all of the "normal" file types.
The one thing that I wanted to see if ps3ms has is whether it can support .tp files. I record my TV using Snapstream's BeyondTV. Yes, I can convert these HD files into .avi and I would be able to watch it through ps3ms or tversity, but I wanted to avoid this extra step.
When I try to play the .tp files on my PS3 (through ps3ms), I get "corrupted data".
Is there some kind of setting I need to specify or is this not supported right now?
