No sound with Web-streaming

When i look at youtube (or other webstreaming) i get no sound and the picture runs very fast.
I don't know what i'm doing wrong, does someone else know the problem?

Inventory:
HP Workstation xw6200, Dual Pentium IV Xeon 3.4 GHz (HT), 4 Gb Ram, 1000 Mb/Sec network
PS3 80Gb

you should install videolan... at next restart of the application, it will take vlc as a default streaming engine, and it's much better at it

that no sound issue is easily fixed with this http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver ... ail?id=282 ,also vsince I have done this I do not get speedy videos...maybe its coincidence...I find mencoder much better than videolan since it can stream hd videos ...btw why does videolan dont to that????
