Gigabit speeds not gigabit

I got the new cat6 cable today and I have tested it. I still get speeds no higher than 7MB/s. Surely there must be something wrong with the PS3 firmware???

The author actually gets slammed pretty hard in the comments because of the site's core audience, but I think this is a really nice article explaining why you won't see gigabit speeds.

I understand that you will not get ten times the speed of 100 megabit ethernet but the point I am making is that I get no speed increase whatsoever. Nice article though - thanks for the find.
