Audio codecs for streaming

Can someone refresh on what audio codecs are able to be streamed to the PS3 (ie. DTS, DTS-HD, DTS-HD-MA, TrueHD, LPCM 2chan,5.1,6.1,7.1 ect)?

I don't think so
DTS-HD, DTS-HD MA and (TrueHD) can't be streamed as is. Only "core 5.1" is used from DTS-HD(MA) because MEncoder doesn't support it. Also 7.1 is no go for MEncoder (except TrueHD and LPCM 7.1) because its decoder is 5.1 capable only.
So the question to happy.neko, how did you enable DTS-HD(MA) 7.1 output(transcoded to AC3/LPCM) when MEncoder supports 5.1 decoding only?

7.1. DTS HD: 5.1 AC3 transcode or 5.1 DTS core bitstream

Am I right? MEncoder decoder can't decode more than 5.1 for DTS so if output will be transcode to 7.1 AC3 or 7.1 LPCM, there will be 2 fake channels.

DTS core in DTS HD is 5.1 max. So yes, output will be always 5.1.

Wow couldn't agree more here. I spent several hours trying to understand why I am getting DTS 5.1 on my receiver even when I am clearly streaming a DTS-HD MA 7.1 file. The description in the changelog is HIGHLY misleading.
