Except it only works through wireless connection. Both my wired and wireless connection goes through the same router(Zyxel NBG460N), and the PS3 is wired to that.
I can be connected to both networks and just switch in the general configuration tab and restart the server, don't have to physically disconnect one or the other for it to work. And I have tried doing that as well
I have tried writing in the IP adress in the general configuration tab, but this has no effect. Have only opened ports in my router for the wired connection though, which makes it even stranger
And by not working I mean the media server doesn't even find the PS3, if that's any help.
I use vista and updated the software not too long ago, so I think I have the newest version
During my testing with TVersity I have opened up network services in the windows firewall and set NIC-priorities, so I think those should be all right as well. And if it has any relevance, I could access the tversity server through the PS3 internet browser, but not XMB.
Any suggestions appreciated, hope I provided good enough info

From the debug file, things look okay as far as I know, it even ends with
- Code: Select all
[Thread-20] DEBUG 23:41:19.377 Setting multicast network interface: name:eth2 (Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller) index: 8 addresses:
/192.168.1.33;
[main] TRACE 23:41:19.377 It's ready! You should see the server appears on XMB
[Thread-20] TRACE 23:42:21.517 Receiving search request from 192.168.1.33! Sending DISCOVER message...
And then it just keeps repeating that last line
