No titles in all ISOs

Postby meskibob » Wed Nov 18, 2009 8:28 am

1- 2.0GHz Core2Duo, 4 GB, Vista x64, PMS 1.20 (r368)
2- gigabit through switch
3- PS3
4- MEncoder

5- When I try to view the title(s) within any ISO I get "No titles". These all worked before the changes listed below, and the directory structure hasn't changed to put them outside the folder-depth limit.
I have recently made the following changes (that I think are applicable) to my system, so I'm not sure which of these has buggered my ISOs:
a) Updated from JRE 6_15 (32-bit) to JRE 6_17 (32-bit), JRE 6_17 (64-bit), and JDK 6_17 (64-bit) (the 32-bit JRE is still required for Azureus, but PMS is using the 64-bit)
b) Set up ANT and TortoiseSVN (following the Otmanix compiling directions at http://otmanix.de/english/2009/10/10/ps ... windows-7/) and compiled/installed r368. Was previously using PMS 1.11.366

6- Debug.log file attached starting at when I browse into a folder containing just ISOs of some concert DVDs. This was after successfully playing some AVI files with MEncoder. The two things I see:
a) codecs.conf is missing from the \win32\mplayer folder (looks like it's that way in the trunk too)
b) It keeps pulling all the fonts for each iso even though I only try to play one. There may be some reason why it needs to be that way but it looks bad to me ;)
7- MediaInfo doesn't support ISOs AFAIK

Edit - issue still present in r369

I have had an issue similar to this before. I was able to solve it by playing a video file with mplayer before using ps3ms (easily done by dragging a video file onto the mplayer executable). This allows mplayer to finish building the font cache. Its worth a try if you haven't already done this.

Hi Jeremy,

I also tested my ISOs and VIDEO_TS folders today and had the same results as meskibob. But your hint solved the problem! Thanks a lot...

Have the same problem, with "no title".

Only a couple of movies who shows "no title", and the most of them is working (.iso and .img).
Don´t understand the "dragging" you talk about, can i play a iso in mplayer?

Is there any solution, mean permanent solution to fix this problem? Annoying when i have to burn movies to DVD.

drag and drop a video file to mplayer.exe file, video will start playing, font cache will also be build
after that try pms again...

RAR'd ISO/IMG files aren't currently supported IIRC.

Hmmm, maybe they are supported, in which case you're probably hitting the folder-depth limit: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3507&start=10#p15591
