Problems streaming FLAC (Center channel low volume)

Hi,

I'm trying to stream an mkv file with FLAC audio to my PS3.

The video playback works perfectly. As for the audio it does play but my center channel is very faint compared to other channels so the voices are being almost muted.

I'm using v1.10.51 with MEncoder and MPlayer with DTS/FLAC to LPCM enabled.

I just googled for this and wanted to say I'm experiencing the same problem but on other formats. My center channel plays very low and I remember this happening on other movies some days ago but then it wasn't as annoying as this one.

I downmix to 2-channel stereo so I dont have a AVR-reciever I can boost channels individually in. I'll hit back if I find some more info on this.


1- Windows 7, 1.10.50 PS3MS
2- 100mbit Ethernet wired thru switch.
3- Streaming to PS3
4- MEncoder for video & Audio High Fidelity for sound (tho from previous experience of low center sound it was MPlayer, but MPlayer didn't work at all on this movie)
5- Sound from the center channel (notably dialogue/speech) is very low compared to other channels.
6- A debug.log file excerpt or the whole file (needs to be zipped to attach). This file can be found in the application directory, but if you have Vista/Win7 with UAC activated it's likely found in the Windows temp directory. Also, posting the text output from MediaInfo can usually help figure out what's going on.

I was having the same problem so I started experimenting with all settings. Disabling all audio worked for me. See attached
