By the way I can't imagine now when someone needs 2 routers for one subnet instead of only one router and more switches or one bigger switch with more ports.
Yes one I found...when your router is from provider(and not configurable) and provider assigns you only one or limited number of IP's. Then you need to attach new router directly to provider's one and create this way new subnet with unlimited number of devices=many IPs.
