Try to graphically describe it, I don't understand.
By the way I can't imagine now when someone needs 2 routers for one subnet instead of only one router and more switches or one bigger switch with more ports.
Yes one I found...when your router is from provider(and not configurable) and provider assigns you only one or limited number of IP's. Then you need to attach new router directly to provider's one and create this way new subnet with unlimited number of devices=many IPs.
Try create some picture and describe it more ;)
e.g.
Code: Select all
   i n t e r n e t
        |
   r o u t e r
        |
   s w i t c h
  |   |   |   |
  pc pc ntb ps3

Hi,

let's try the visual:
Code: Select all
         INTERNET
               !
          SWITCH
          !         !
HD Decoder  Router
                   !  !  !
                PC HP G5 & Wireless Macbook & PS3

The HD Decoder must have the IP from the internet to be able to work.
PC = PS3MS server
HP = Laserjet Network Printer
G5 = PowerMac
Internet & Switch = Room 1
Router = Room 2

Maybe i can replace the router to room 1 and place a second switch to room 2.

But then i doubt that my wireless signal will be strong enough to reach my rooms at the 2nd floor...

I don't understand why you have that set up. ExSport's diagram is correct. And as others have said, ditch the wireless.
