Hurrah! I've finally managed to register with this forum. Your CAPTCHA security is terrible! It took me ages to enter the right characters, as they just weren't clear at all. Anyway... Rant over!
I've been using PS3 Media Server for about 8 months now (since I had my PS3), and it's served me well (so much so that I donated - something I rarely feel the need to do). I wouldn't use my PS3 nearly as much if I didn't have PS3MS!
I finally decided to give Windows 7 a go at the weekend (thanks to my MSDN subscription). I backed up my ageing XP installation and, well, I haven't looked back. I'm really impressed with Windows 7. Everything is up and running as it was before with Windows XP. Well, everything, that is, except PS3 Media Server.
My PS3 can see PS3MS just fine, but it takes an age to render the contents of my folders. All MP4 video files are reported as being huuuge - ~94Gb and 9hr:59m:59s long) If I then try to play (say) an MP4 video directly, TsMuxR crashes in Windows 7.
Does anyone have any idea of what's going on? Is PS3MS recoding my MP4s, even though I know the PS3 can play them natively? I tried dropping the latest TsmuxR exe, but it doesn't appear to have made a scrap of difference unfortunately.
I'm using the latest build of PS3MS (356), and my PS3 has firmware 2.80.
Oh, and keep up with great work you are doing with PS3MS.
