Thumbnail generation support

Hi all,

Newbie here......

I've also got a query/problem with thumbnail support.

Any assist/advice would be most gratefully received

I've got all my music files stored in my itunes library with the album art attached/embedded to each individual file.

This shows up fine on the PS3 server, its just there's no thumbnail art on the folder/album.

Once you get inside, each track has the art attached/visible however.

I've tried dropping a jpg. of the cover art inside the album folder and naming it folder.jpg but to no avail.......

Any help please anyone?

This is a brilliant program BTW and the creators of it should be proud of the great work they've produced.

.....um... yes it does actually....

Y'see I've put some albums on the PS3's hard drive itself and it shoes the album art on the folder itself (exactly what I'm after) as well as on all the tracks inside.

Of course, these files (and their art) can be easily altered & modified because they're stored on the HD itself.......

Its just that the art won't show on the album/folders on the server but will show up on the tracks inside themselves......

Is it possible for the PS3 to "remember" the thumbnails. When I open a folder it always loads the thumbnails and once it's down I'll scroll down the page....then if I scroll back up to the original page it'll have to regenerate the thumbnails again.

Just wondering if there's a way to cache the thumbnails somehow?

Guys i am still having trouble with doing this.

I have tried everything but the only image i get is the PMS logo (green triangle).

Can some please explain to me how your getting images to show.

You need either a image in the folder called folder.jpg and that will give that image as the thumbnail to any video file in that directory or say you have a video called movie.avi the image file would need to be called movie.avi.cover.jpg

Also make sure the images are not set as hidden in windows.

The only thing i have ticked is "enable the media library".

Have you tried turning off your firewall just to make sure it isnt blocking something.
