Thumbnail generation support

Postby glopitou » Mon Jan 19, 2009 5:46 pm

Hello,

I would like to know a bit more about thumbnail generation support.
Many movies start with a black screen (before the intro), so in my ps3, the thumbnails are black on each video.
Is it possible to specify a time offset to have a movie screenshot ?

Go to the Navigation/Share settings tab and put in to thumbnail seeking what ever number of seconds you like.

Cool! So how do you make it work? Same way as with "my movie.mkv.cover.jpg" or? :?

Yes, any info on how to generate the thumbnail? It'd be sweet to have movie posters in the XMB.

For individual cover art per movie just add a jpg or png with the same name as the movie file but suffixed .avi.cover.jpg, or .vob.cover.jpg etc...

for a single thumbnail for a whole folder full of files (handy for seasons of TV shows) just drop a jpg called folder.jpg into the same folder as the videos
