How do I best pre-transcode my videos?

Postby elephant sandwich » Sat Jul 18, 2009 5:34 pm

My computer takes too long for transcoding HD content. Copying it to the PS3 directly takes too long.
I thought about accessing the server with another client and saving the video. Is this possible?
Or can I somehow find the mencoder parameters etc. that the server uses, so I can do it manually?

Thanks, I may try that. But I'd prefer a linux / command line approach since I only use Windows inside a VM.
