Spotify and iTunes on the PS3, very easy!!!

There's a guy that made a simple .dll file that rips the sound through API, look here for more info

This is appliable to PS3 mediaserver.

just get the file:
http://dsbridge.googlecode.com/files/dsbridge-20090707-bin.zip

1. Extract dsound.dll and dsbridge.ini to your Spotify catalogue
2. Get lame_enc.dll, find it with google, will not link due to copyright issues. Add it to Spotify catalogue
3. edit WEB.conf in PS3 media server catalogue to say
#shoutcasts#
audiostream.Web,Radios=Spotify,http://192.168.1.72:8124,http://www...images/logo.png

But with your own IP of the PC playing Spotify.

For iTunes, just copy the all the files into iTunes folder and add:
audiostream.Web,Radios=iTunes,http://192.168.1.72:8124,http://ima...son20080909.gif
To WEB.conf

Restart Spotify/iTunes and PS3MS and your good to listen to it through the radio selection on the PS3

I would just like to extend a big THANK YOU to RealElwood! This solution worked perfectly and it was very simple!

A tip for anyone looking to use this on their gaming pc and use vista or win7: you can open the mixer in the volume panel and turn off sound on the spotify app and still get sound through to your PS3.

I'm guessing its:

Its the link to the small spotify logo on their frontpage.

The other one might be:

http://images.apple.com/itunes/what-is/images/whatisnav_whatis_20090909.jpg

Or some other logo from apples site.

For me it also worked to use 127.0.0.1 as the IP-adress in WEB.confm that means that "localhost" also should work.

If you download the newest version from the forum, you will find that now it automatically mutes Spotify when you start streaming, pure genious.
It shouldnt affect any other sounds on your computer, just spotify.

No, I dont think there is a way to do that.

Everything works fine for me, including getting the blue icon in the system tray, but when I go to 'Radios' via the PS3MediaServer icon on the XMB the only option I get is 'Radios in VLC', no Spotify.

What am I doing wrong?
