viewing divx on my 52w5500

Postby parisien » Sat Jul 18, 2009 2:29 pm

Hello.

i have a 52 w5500 bravia sony tv and since 3 days i am trying to configure ps3 media server 1.11.350 to view divx.

everything works but as 52w5500 can only view mpg2 files, i don't find a way to transcode it.

Can someone tell me where i can find a tutorial ?

Thank you
parisien

Have a look at Bravia5500.conf in renderers-subdirecty of PMS-installation directory. There you will transcoding settings specific for your tv. Have a look at ps3.conf for detailed description of parameters.
There's an existing thread for Sony Bravia and other tvs: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2099&start=90
Here's a howto for PMS (several chapters): http://otmanix.de/english/2009/05/13/ja ... roduction/

The additional messages you get seem to be related to Twonky Media Server / PV Connect: http://www.packetvideo.com/products/pvc ... index.html
Do you have Twonky Media running at the same time as PMS?

transcoded files are accessible through the #transcode virtual folder on XMB
