5.1 Audio Speaker Setup

Hi there,

I'm having some issues with 5.1 audio in MKV files (PMS running under Ubuntu Server). The channels seem to get mixed up so the audio comes out of the wrong speakers; the centre channel seems to come out of the the rear right with other speakers playing different channels (not sure which ones are which). Has anyone else had this issue? Any thoughts on why this might be happening?

Other than that PMS is a great piece of software and is working a treat!

Wish there was a fix this easy for the same problem on Windows :/

Any idea how to fix this problem using windows. I'm using tsmuxer and im having the same problem as bugmonkey. Can't figure it out. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Igvolvo: It is a bug in mencoder (even if you use tsmuxer, mencoder is still used). As of now there doesn't seem to be a fix in the works until the bug in mencoder is fixed.

Oh no wonder. I didnt know when you use tsmuxer, mencoder is still used. thanks for your reply.
