Postby Kye37 » Sun Jun 28, 2009 11:40 am

Hi, I've been working on this for days now and have looked up many work arounds on many sites and have tryed many many things to fix this with no luck.

I can ping my ps3 from the pc with no prob the internet connection works on the ps3 too, the ps3 will not find the PS3 media server, the ps3 media server will not find the ps3, I have no firewalls or virus checkers running at all, I have forced the media server under gen config to look for the ps3 media server ip address which is 192.168.0.2 the ps3 is 192.168.0.3 it sill doesnt find the ps3, I have file sharing turned on on the pc, the universal plug and play device host is running in the pc services.

Im not using a router Im running the ps3 stright into a laptop with cable.

Thanks for any help.

Did you force the correct network interface as well? (right next to the force IP setting)
I provide NO application support via PM or email, so please post your question to the forum per the Forum Rules.

Are you running PS3MS as a service or as an application?

I've had issues with PS3SS failing to find my PS3 when running as a service.

Tryed both running it as a service and not, with no luck, the SSDP Network Discovery service is running too.

Debug log below.

Have no idea what the XMB is.
