Subtitles are too small

Postby itayze » Mon Jun 22, 2009 5:12 pm

Hi ,
my problam is that the subs are way too small ,
I've tried Enabling and disabling the Ass subtitles , and still the font scale just doesn't have an impact ,
The subs are neccesray for me , other then that Ps3 media is simply great .

I've tried searching the forums but there was only one thread about small subs , and it wasn't too clear .

I didn't think my pc details was important here so I didn't put them here .

yeah, right, next time my car won't start, I will not phone the brand or any other details to the car repairshop :)

more seriously, you're on Windows ? osx and linux versions are known for subtitles troubles like that

almost everything is unchecked in the subs area

here is what i had before and it didn't work ,
I've tried some combination , none had any effect, but I'm very open to suggestions :)

weird
you can try to specify the font yourself, it's the "specific truetype" button: go pick the arial font in the Windows font directory for example
and also try to enable the fontconfig option

btw, when you use "ass subtitles" mode (recommended), the font scale is small: 1.0 is the default value, but 1.5 is already a large value... maybe you have set the value too high

i've tried the latest option you offerd - no change .

it feels like no matter what I do , it doesn't effect the subtitles , maybe I should consider installing the version that came out before this one ,
uninstall - install ,
desprate moves , I'm still open to suggestion :).

last move is to put the default values (ass/ssa mode, scale to 1.0, fontconfig on, default style off), launch the video, and post or send me the debug.log, present in the application directory (ps3mediaserver at gmail.com)
