BBB's modem for those who know what BBB is.

Transcoding settings
Referring to the Readme in PS3MS there are two transcoding options:
A) Using the server "as is": Nothing else to install, it will use Mencoder for the transcoding part.
B) Using Avisynth/FFDshow. Paired with CoreAVC, it's quite efficient with multi cores.

I would really much appreciate someone who knows a little bit more about transcoding to guide me to a good setup for my computer.

My goal would be to play 720p/1080p movies, unpacked without stutter.

Right now, I need to download, unpack, reload PS3MS for update, play the file and it works rather good.
If I do not unpack an XviD, standard AVI, it plays very well for atleast 70% of the movie, then stutter begins.

-----------------------------------

If someone is capable, could you try and figure out optimized settings for my setup?
1) What transcode method would be best to use, A or B mentioned above?
2) What 'Common transcode settings' would one be suggested to use?
Currently using 600 maximum buffer. Quality settings at keyint=25:vqscale=2:vqmin=3. 2-channel stereo with 640Kbits/s
Altso checked Keep DTS audio in stream.
... I could go on, but I believe my setup is totally screwed as I should be able to watch with very good settings and without issues.

I really want it to work as flawless as possible as it's easier for my family etc.

My best regards, to the community and developers,
Casina
