Disable subtitles

Postby heddhunter » Fri Jun 12, 2009 1:02 am

I have an .avi with a corresponding .srt. When streaming via PMS, the PS3 will always display the subtitles, and there doesn't appear be any way to turn them off (I tried all the various triangle-button menu options and the "Subtitle" button on the large PS3 remote). Is there any way to turn them off short of renaming/deleting the .srt file on the server? (obviously I'd like to have the option of keeping them around.)

When you view the folder with the video file, above that will be a "TRANSCODE" folder, in that folder, click on the transcoder without the subtitles.
You can also edit the default options on the home transcode folder for all video files I believe. Don't quote me as I'm at work at the moment... shhhh

Can't thank you enough for this, google brought me straight here and this is just what I needed! Has all the options in there and I didn't know about it somehow! Serves me right for hiding #transcode the minute I saw it :/
