Can't get PS3 to detect HD files...

Postby PolishTank » Sun May 24, 2009 2:44 pm

Hello,

PS3ms seems like a great tool. I'm not having any connection problems, my PS3 seems to be picking up the media server just fine, and regular videos and music files just fine. However I can' t figure out how to get the PS3 to detect my HD mkv's that I have. I have converted them using mkv2vob to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions? Mkv2vob forums claim it's a media center issue. I have posted a bug log below...

What do you mean by "detect HD files"? Are they not showing up when you browse them on the XMB? Do they show up on the XMB but they don't play?

And you're in the Video section of the XMB? You shouldn't be hitting the folder-depth limit (in your example "D:\My Shared Folder\Iron Man Blu-Ray 1080p.mpg" is only two folders deep)
What file extensions do you have that aren't showing up? You should also post the whole debug.log file and not the just the trace.
