I used MKV2VOB to convert the file, should I try a different extension rather than mpeg?

Also I just name the srt the same as the movie, should I name it something else relative to the subtitle language?

Well, I got the data corrupted error with subtitles problem fixed originally by increasing the buffer size, but the problem is back now. I've attached the entire debug file hoping someone can find the problem. Thanks.

My PC is 2GHz with 512MB of RAM. I'm using PMS 1.10.51 and the MEncoder engine.

Decrease the size not increase. At default settings 400MB is set but your OS will take almost your 512MB(with some resident apps) so try much less than 400MB. Try starting with 100MB? First check how much free memory you have when PMS is not started and then you will know better....
